S.E.A.
Actually, SAE, but SEA is more catchy.
To play in college, 3 things need to happen:
Skill Development
Athletic Development
Exposure to collegiate coaches
To play in college you need to improve in each of these three areas. You need to sit down with the family and discuss how each of these are going to improve.
Skill Development: Starts at any age and possibilities include: Diamond Elite, school programs, camps, playing with friends, & private lessons.
Athletic Development: Stronger, faster athletes who jump higher and have more endurance usually make better athletes and better volleyball players. Diamond Elite has options for this but alone, it is not enough. Other options include: home workouts, gym memberships, playing other sports, VAQS programs (contact Diamond Elite for a list), and your school may offer programs as well.
Exposure To Collegiate Coaches: This will be discussed as you work your way through the checklist, so do not worry about that yet, but sit down with the family and discuss your plan for the skill and athletic development.
After you complete this task - Return to Checklist, Step 2.
